It keeps time like any metronome. It also holds your music, with its tempo changes, meters and the marks you count from, so you can start at Set 12 instead of looking up what tempo Set 12 is.

IPT stands for Individual Practice Time. An instructor sets the week’s practice, performers log what they do, and the instructor sees it. A short recording is optional.

SL stands for Sugar Land, Texas, where we grew up. We’re engineers and builders, and we’ve always needed to be making something.
SL Collective is where all of it goes: apps like Setronome and IPT, objects we design and 3D print for the shop, and hardware that’s still on the bench. We’re still finding the thread that runs through it.
SL Collective is the registered assumed name of Sugar Land Collective LLC, a Texas limited liability company, which makes and operates Setronome and IPT and runs the SL Collective shop.
